About

5895 meters. That's something. That is the altitude of Kilimanjaro. Well, actually Uhuru, which is the highest peak of the 3 volcanoes that compose the range. That is why it is the highest peak in Africa. 4900 meters high from its base. That is why it is the highest free-standing mountain in the world. One of the Seven Summits. Climbing Kilimanjaro seems a challenge for supermen. We will see that it is not.

And what is so special about it? Well, imagine contemplating the African savannah from that altitude. The challenge and overcoming of reaching that altitude. Getting to know closely the extraordinary culture of those who live there and their "Hakuna Matata" (not invented by Disney...). To watch closely the perpetual snows of Kilimanjaro, which are not so perpetual (experts say that by 2050 they will have disappeared).

So here we go.

On this occasion, we also do it for a good reason. We all have a friend or relative who has had or is going through one of the most difficult processes in life: overcoming cancer. We are a group of friends, researchers and patients who are aware of the need to help those who are going through this process through a solidarity challenge to raise funds for research with the CRIS Foundation against cancer.

Meet your trip provider: Malamalama Travels
Identity Verified
Malamalama is not a regular travel agency. Malamalama means "light of knowledge" in Hawaiian. The search for that light is our motivation. The thrill of exploration. The passion to discover. We get away from crowded areas and that leads us to a continuous development and investigation of new routes, better destinations. Each destination, an adventure. Each group, a family. Each lodge, a house. Those are our goals. That is why we say that we are not a travel agency. We arrange dreams. We create vital experiences. We unite people for life. We develop unforgettable movie memories. We teach to connect with nature. We change the world. A little bit, at least.
